Enrollment Dates

Application forms, including a $100.00 application fee, are collected on an ongoing basis. We will begin the enrollment process for children on the following dates:

  • February 11—Active Members of St. James’ Episcopal Church & St. Gabriel’s
  • February 18—Returning Students and their Siblings
  • February 25—Graduating Student’s Siblings
  • February 25—Alumni and Community Members

Dear Parents,

Thank you for your interest in St. James’ Preschool. We will begin our 40th year this fall! We are pleased to provide this ministry to our church families and the Leesburg, VA community.

Please complete the following online application form or print our downloadable application form and return by mail or in person to our Leesburg office. Dates when we’ll begin the enrollment process are listed above. We welcome submitted applications after these dates, as well.

Whether you complete the online form or submit a printed application, a $100.00 application fee must be paid to St. James’ Preschool for your application to be considered complete. Please mail, or submit in person, a check payable to “St. James’ Preschool” in the amount of $100.00. This application fee will only be refunded in the event that St. James’ Preschool is unable to enroll your child in any of our classes. The application fee will not be refunded if you withdraw your child from the enrollment process for any reason.

The enrollment dates listed above are the dates when we will begin placing students into classes. We encourage you to submit your application prior to this date, where they will be held and considered at the time enrollment begins. This will be a random process and is not based on postmarks or on when a registration form was received – in other words, all applications will be considered equally. If there are more requests for a class than space available, a second choice will be honored and a waiting list started. Students enrolled in their second choice class will only have the opportunity to switch to their first choice class if an opening becomes available before November 1. Changes after that date will be made only on a case by case basis.

Classes will begin in September and end in May. The annual tuition for each class will be divided into nine monthly payments. One month’s tuition will be due May 1st, 2011 in order to hold your child’s place. This “commitment payment” will be non-refundable and applied towards your last month’s tuition. We need to receive your check by May 1st or we will go to our waiting list. On September 1st and each month thereafter, monthly tuition will be paid on the 1st of each month through April. After September 1st, if you need to withdraw your child, we will require 30 days notice. All other decisions are at the discretion of the Co-Directors and the Preschool Board of Directors.

All three, four, and five year olds must be potty-trained (no pull-ups, please). Please refer to our class schedule and take note of the age requirements for each class when choosing your first and second choices for the enrollment application. Thank you for your consideration of our school.
