• Class Hours: Vary by class start-time, generally within the hours of 8:15 AM to 1:00 PM.

• Current openings: Monday-Friday, 4-year-olds; Hours: 8:15-12:45 / Monday-Thursday, 3.5-year-olds; Hours:  9:15-12:45 / Coming soon:  Monday-Thursday, 4-year-olds; Hours:  8:30-1:00

• Pay: $15–$17 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

• Location:  St. James’ Preschool, 8 Cornwall Street, NW, Leesburg, VA 20176

Responsibilities

As an Assistant Preschool Teacher, you will:

• Support the lead teacher in preparing and delivering engaging lessons and activities.

• Foster a safe, nurturing, and faith-centered classroom environment.

• Assist in supervising children during classroom activities, snack time, and outdoor play.

• Help maintain classroom organization and cleanliness.

• Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff members.

Qualifications

• A love for working with children and a commitment to supporting their spiritual and educational growth.

• Previous experience in a preschool or childcare setting is preferred.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with lead teachers and other team members.

• Willingness to uphold the values and mission of a Christian-based learning environment.

• High School Diploma required, Bachelors Degree preferred.

• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
